Notice that, this year, several papers will be presented on the Sunday afternoon, in advance of the Welcome session in the evening.

We are pleased to invite you to download your preferred binary kit for Firebird 2 Release Candidate 4. Though very close, this is still a field-testing release. Please check any problem areas you encountered in RC 3 and report to the Firebird-devel list without delay if something isn't working as you expect.

Please note also that this release will NOT become the final one, due to an issue that appeared after these builds were made.

Please check any problem areas you encountered in RC 2 and report to the Firebird-devel list without delay if something isn't working as you expect.

The Firebird Project is pleased to announce that the new Jira Issue Tracker is open for business. Take your time to work your way around the interface, check existing issues and prepare to post any all-new ones.

The old SourceForge bug trackers are being replaced with a new issue tracker implemented with JIRA. The new tracker is hosted on a new server, using Firebird as its database engine, naturally! All of the SourceForge tracker data has been converted and those trackers have been closed. Some time during the next day or so we will update here and in the lists to give you the URL links for the new tracker site.

Big thanks to Dimitrios Ioannidis and Pavel Cisar for installing the new tracker, configuring it for Firebird and fitting it to the project's needs and, not least, for doing the big job on the data conversion.
