Note this is a "Release Candidate", not an official release. We would like people to help test this before official release. Any comments issues, problems etc should be reported to the Firebird development list (not the bug tracker!).

Builds can be downloaded from the pre-release area. Windows, Linux, Linux NPTL and 64 bit Linux kits are all available under the appropriate subdirectories.

You can read details of bug fixes and enhancements in this release in the on-line release notes. Also included are some important notes for those of you who want to test the Linux NPTL builds. The latest notes include fixes not in RC1 but present in the unreleased RC2 or RC3 builds.

This release includes a fix for a known problem with events that caused the server to hog CPU after an abnormal termination under some conditions. If you who have experienced this bug, please test 1.5.2 and make sure that the problem has been resolved.
