Developer's Report: Firebird QA Development
December 2008 to February 2009
  1. FB 2.0.5 (RC2 & final) and FB 2.1.2 RC1.
  2. Python driver v3.3.0 (including completely reworked and extended documentation).
  3. Some work on new, pure Python driver using ctypes. Have ibase.h defined in Python using ctypes, basic TPB&DPB handling, can now attach to database and do some non-DSQL work (to handle DSQL I have to beat XDSQLA first, which is a lot of work). This work was just "proof of concept", and so far this approach looks very promising.
  4. Significant refactoring and enhancements to our benchmarking toolset including some fixes (see SVN). New rounds of benchmarks and analysis to 2.1.2 (rc1 & rc2).
  5. Continuous task: Tracker cleanup & maintenance (verification of test cases for bugs, verification of fixes, closing tickets etc.).
