Financial Report to 9 February 2004

The following Financial Report represents the financial position of The FirebirdSQL Foundation (Inc.) as at the commencement of the inaugural Annual General Meeting of the association at midnight GMT on 9 February 2004.

The following amendments were made in accordance with Matters Arising:
- The total AUD expenses total was corrected from 6400.99 to 6379.49 to rectify a typographical error (T. Grundke)
- The imbalance between AUD expenses and AUD income ($6.00) was corrected by removing PayPal transfer fees from the total of AUD bank fees. Reason: PayPal extracts $1.00 AUD at source before executing transfers to the AUD bank account. The imbalance occurred in three cases where the gross AUD amount was entered in error and the $1.00 AUD was included in the bank fees total. (T. Grundke)
- Originally, the Expenses and Income report was mistakenly named "Balance Sheet". It has been renamed "Expenses and Income". (P.Vinkenoog)
- A statement of Liabilities and Assets has been added under the title "Balance Sheet". (P. Vinkenoog)

Further amendments from Matters Arising:
- Unpaid subscriptions were removed from Assets and restated in the Memberships section. (Reason: Foundation accounting operates on a Cash basis, not Accrual).
- Statement of the Foundation's equity position was added to the foot of the report, at the suggestion of the Dept of Fair Trading.
- Statement of Expenditure and Income sides were reversed to reflect current practice in Australian book-keeping, as suggested by the Dept of Fair Trading.
