    The upcoming major Firebird version to be released is v2.1. It is currently in the release candidate stage, and is expected to be released in Q1 2008.

    The next major version being developed by the project is v2.5 and its Alpha builds are also scheduled for Q1 2008.

    Besides that, a few point releases of the v1.5.x and v2.0.x series are also going to be released this year.

    And finally, we expect the first review builds of version 3.0 to become available for public distribution by the end of the year.
