The term “deprecated” is used very loosely in this document. It generally indicates that a certain feature is no longer recommended in new code because a better or more standards-compliant alternative has become available. It does not always mean that there are concrete plans for removal in a future version. In fact, many of the features marked “deprecated” here may be with us for a long time to come!
